Beto O’Rourke is a strange duck. After losing to Ted Cruz, he went on that weird car trip to nowhere and kept a journal of his deep thoughts. As far as policy positions? He didn’t seem to have any. And when he did finally start taking questions while standing on countertops across the country, he showed more and more of the radical leftist that he really is.
Don’t forget, this is the guy who to Chris Hayes that if he were elected president, not only would he not build a wall, he’d tear down the existing border wall in El Paso. He’s comparing the Trump administration to the Third Reich. He called Benjamin Netanyahu racist. He claims Trump is an “arsonist” who started the border crisis so he could take the credit for fixing it. So yeah, he’s gone full-on progressive.
And here he is telling a crowd that illegal immigrants are living in not only the shadows but “modern-day bondage.”
