Walmart reassuring the public it stopped selling 'automatic rifles' in 2015

As Twitchy reported Wednesday morning, DICK’S Sporting Goods announced a few policy changes: it would no longer be selling “assault-style rifles,” high-capacity magazines, or any gun to anyone under 21. (Never mind that the chain stopped selling “assault-style rifles” years ago.)

Walmart has now followed suit, saying it will no longer sell firearms or ammo to anyone under 21. Earlier in the day, though, under pressure from the DICK’S Sporting Goods announcement, someone working the social media desk at Walmart was busy reassuring citizens that it had stopped selling AR-15s and automatic rifles in 2015.

Um … one more time?

Wow, did the feds know that Walmart was selling automatic weapons up until 2015?

Wow, we’re sure glad Walmart fully researched existing gun laws before buckling to the pressure of “recent events.”
