Politicians can always change their minds. So, this isn't chiseled in stone. But Secretary of State Marco Rubio says he currently has no plans to run for president in 2028. He’s essentially endorsing Vice President JD Vance for the Oval Office gig. Could he still be a potential VP for Vance? That’s what some are hoping.

Rubio: “Well, I think JD Vance would be a great nominee. If he decides he wants to do that. I think he’s doing a great job as Vice President. He’s a close friend and I hope he intends to do it.”

That sounded like an endorsement for Vance to us.
Posters say they’d support either Vance or Rubio for president. But many say they want them both.
JD will have my vote, but I would vote for Marco Rubio as well. Maybe they could team up.

We could get behind that ticket easily.
At least one poster says they want Rubio to stay put as Secretary of State if a Republican wins the White House in 2028 after Trump's term.
If for some reason Vance did not run for president I would fully support Rubio. I think he is doing an outstanding job right now and he has run for president before. He would also make an excellent VP he is politically very well poised for greatness in my opinion.

No. He has been the best SoS i can remember. I don't think anyone else could do as good of job. I'm not sure about who would make the best VP. 🤔

Most agree that Rubio has been stellar under Trump. If he’s a part of the next administration, we can see many supporting that decision.

That doesn’t seem that far off, does it? But a lot could change between now and then. Still, Vance/Rubio 2028 has a nice ring to it.
