MSNBC talking head Ed Schultz’s admiration for President Barack Obama doesn’t exactly send tingles up his leg like another MSNBC big mouth. But it’s still dripping with lapdog media love.
Schultz, famous for bad ratings and for calling conservative talk show host Laura Ingrahm a “right wing slut” last year, slathered his compliment on the end of a tweet from Josh Marshall, editor and publisher of the leftist Talking Points Memo, claiming that Republican challenger Mitt Romney does not know what makes America unique. Marshall, naturally, was trying to downplay Romney’s statement from earlier today that Obama doesn’t know what makes America unique.

Unique? Really?
What’s so unique about Obama: That he hasn’t met with his Jobs Council for six months while the country’s unemployment remains stagnant above 8 percent for 40 straight months because he has a lot on his plate? That he thinks if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that? That, instead of putting people back to work, he’s been busy attending 106 campaign fund-raisers?

Twitter users were quick to correct Schultz.

Wait. Maybe the president is unique. In the land of freedom and opportunity, you can build something … but not everyone should.
@keder @edshow America proves everybody can become President. Obama proves not everybody should. Truly unique
