J.K. Rowling is our favorite kind of liberal. She’s the kind of liberal who can still see the flaws in liberalism and leftism. And she’s the kind of liberal who refuses to kneel before the Woke Mob and beg for forgiveness when her only crime is not towing their woke line.
Rowling’s been at the top of the Left’s “Must Be Canceled” list for a while now, thanks largely to her outspoken opposition to radical trans activism and full-throated defense of women and womanhood. She’s also recently ruffled feathers by drawing attention to and denouncing a U.K. charity for trans kids that had a trustee who has defended pedophilia. And then she proceeded to go off on the “genderists” and “pedophilia apologists” who were angry with her for standing up for vulnerable children.
Well, today, after taking some time to think about what she’s said, Rowling has decided that she’s made a mistake and is really sorry for offending her critics.
We kid, of course. She’s not backing down. In fact, she’s calling out the Left once again:

And then everyone clapped. Well, we did. Because she’s absolutely right. Looking out for the welfare of children is one of the few things that should never be political. And yet, the radical Left has made it political. That’s insane.
