Secretary of State Antony Blinken's disturbing take on 'our purpose' with regard to China spells bad news for the free world [video]

A little over a month ago, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that we’re not trying to contain China or keep it down or anything like that:

We’re sure you’ll be comforted to know that Blinken is consistent in his cravenness.

Here’s what he recently told “60 Minutes”:

Beg your pardon, Mr. Secretary?

We don’t blame you for laughing … anything to avoid breaking down and crying, which would be a completely understandable and warranted response to Blinken’s remarks.

Our purpose, according to Blinken, is to try “to uphold this rules-based order” despite China doing everything in its power to undermine all the rules. And Blinken apparently wants to ensure that China continues to pose a challenge to the rules-based order, because he’s going out of his way to avoid holding China accountable.

What’s that saying about those who don’t learn from history?

Joe Biden’s administration hasn’t inspired much confidence thus far. With Antony Blinken as Secretary of State, that’s apparently what they’re going for.

We’re no international policy experts or cabinet members, but it seems to us that Antony Blinken could use a few reminders about what it is that the United States is supposed to do when confronted by dangerous global economic, geopolitical, and human rights threats.
