Guy Benson busts Vox's Aaron Rupar for lying about Fox News' coverage of Matt Gaetz [video]

Well, this will no doubt come as a huge shock to you, but it seems that Aaron Rupar is lying. Again.

See, unlike Aaron Rupar, Guy Benson hasn’t made a career out of deceiving people, willfully or otherwise. So if you’re not sure whose word to take on what Fox News is covering, take Benson’s:

Hi, I anchored a primetime hour on Fox Business Network last evening & mentioned him. Thx. https://t.co/mkC00cmhVq

Uh-oh, Aaron. Care to retract your tweet? Or would you prefer to just dig deeper?

I'm not seeing it in a transcript search, and I just skimmed the transcript of your full show yesterday and don't see where Gaetz came up. Care to clarify? pic.twitter.com/JKIak4Fr4n

As a matter of fact, Benson can clarify:

We told a joke at his expense during “topical storm.” Feel free to watch and enjoy!

Also based on the first sentence in that screenshot, I’m not sure those transcripts are scrupulously accurate.

What? You’re not familiar with “spit McIntosh disgrace”?

Anyway, Aaron subsequently tweeted the clip Benson referred to:

I missed this @guypbenson mention of Matt Gaetz on Fox Business last night because the transcript has his name as "Matt Gates" pic.twitter.com/1GtDieeckS

— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) April 2, 2021

But he hasn’t deleted his original incorrect tweet. Because, you know, he’s Aaron Rupar.
