Bill Kristol has gone from influential conservative thinker to sideshow curiosity — and we’ve watched with morbid fascination the whole time.
Ever since Donald Trump came onto the national political scene in 2015, Bill’s been losing his grip on reality, apparently forgetting that it’s possible to dislike Donald Trump without effectively renouncing conservatism in the name of conserving it.
So you can go ahead and add this to the long — and always-expanding — list of examples of Bill Kristol selling out to the Left:
So eight are dead in Georgia, ten in Colorado. Democrats have policies they favor in response, though some are perhaps ill-advised or ineffectual. Still, proposed responses. Do national or state Republicans have ANY proposals they say would reduce the likelihood of such acts?

Defending Democrats’ thoroughly ill-advised and ineffectual policies to own the GOP. That’s how conservatism is conserved at the Bulwark!
"Do something." Conserving conservatism. https://t.co/5fBmehI808

It's always best to implement ill-advised and ineffectual policies simply to make you feel better about yourself. https://t.co/eGzW1KI332

Are you asking Republicans why they aren't doing anything about people like Ahmad Alissa? https://t.co/Ty2OIjidsz

GP Your position is that it's government's job to supervise the mental health of its populace to make sure there's no risk of anyone killing anyone ever?
I assume you, as Minister of Precrime Adjudication, have workable standards to weed out and incarcerate such threats. https://t.co/pNyIRw3vrM

Yes, and you should know this since you used to be one before you sold your soul. https://t.co/bkUl0lzH02

Tweeting “…though some are perhaps ill-advised or ineffectual” in regards to overreaching polices on an issue soaked in constitutional fundamentalism is liberalism. I’m glad Bill has found his was to the Democrat party. He’s truly home. https://t.co/50VUPlESew
