CNN recently accepted the resignation of photo editor Mohammed Elshamy after GOP operative Arthur Schwartz brought some of Elshamy’s anti-Semitic tweets to their attention. But it looks like when CNN tried to clean house, they missed a spot.
Schwartz has also been looking through tweets by Kareem Farid, who describes himself as a presenter on CNN Arabic‘s tweets and they’re decidedly problematic:
Hey @CNNPR. Is everyone at @CNN a fan of Hitler or is it just this guy? Looking forward to @oliverdarcy & @brianstelter covering this. pic.twitter.com/7o5XnCCzX0

Hey @CNNPR. Do you know that one of your employees refers to Adolf Hitler as “Comrade Hitler?” Not a good look. pic.twitter.com/T06Uxp5bmc
— Arthur Schwartz (@ArthurSchwartz) July 26, 2019
—@CNN employee: “I love you, Hitler.”
CNN should take a look at their vetting process for new hires. Unless this is who they’re looking to hire. pic.twitter.com/ZSXvUw4bSV

Btw, Two days before this tweet I wrote That he is a fascist. I was commenting on some parts of a biography book I read about him at this time. Taking tweets out of context is not cool ?https://t.co/CfLrU8EuD1

If you called Hitler a fascist two days before you proclaimed your love for him that tells me that you love fascists. Thanks for playing. https://t.co/9APdOABCVU

Care to clarify, @KareemFarid? Who is making you hate Jews and why do you hate Jews? You seeing this @CNNPR? pic.twitter.com/LVBjp8o6lp

So some guy was insulting Muslims and your response was “You’re the one who makes us hating (sic) Jews”? OK, pal.

Another CNN presenter, Kareem Farid, has some hostile opinions on the Jews. Here, he recites a phrase popularized by the likes of AQ & MB that calls for the murder of Jews. #ThisIsCNN
Just yesterday, a pro-terror photo editor @ CNN resigned in disgrace.https://t.co/FTJL9i1Whh pic.twitter.com/7iT7BPw5Vu

This guy works for @CNN. Remember that whenever they’re reporting on Israel. pic.twitter.com/UHMKwVUvua

CNN Worldwide VP and spokesman Matt Dornic claims that Farid is not employed by CNN:
False. He is not employed nor paid by CNN. But you could’ve checked that first.
— Matt Dornic (@mdornic) July 26, 2019
Apparently Farid missed that memo, then:
This is what his profile said before you got to him and had him change it. Are you saying he has no affiliation with CNN and never did? pic.twitter.com/pu8s50VqkV

Matt, he was presenting on his CNN Arabic show last week on Jul 18. Care to clarify? pic.twitter.com/EuolFD0Vpe
— Jordan Schachtel (@JordanSchachtel) July 26, 2019
Hey @mdornic. You said CNN isn’t responsible for and can’t comment on @KareemFarid’s anti-Semitic rhetoric because he has nothing to do with CNN. Were you lying or simply uninformed? https://t.co/RRyBFUL6LO

Matt?
