As Twitchy told you yesterday, presidential hopeful — and unidirectional feud-haver — Pete Buttigieg has officially come out against the Electoral College.
.@PeteButtigieg: "We can’t say it’s much of a democracy when twice in my lifetime, the Electoral College has overruled the American people … Let’s pick our President by counting up all the ballots and giving it to the woman or man who got the most votes" https://t.co/ak42dRUf5R pic.twitter.com/EpCC54432k

Buttigieg later appeared on Rachel Maddow’s show, where he said this:
Buttigieg: The Electoral College is ‘One of the Manipulations’ The GOP Uses to ‘Keep Their Agenda in Play’ https://t.co/qPSCXACzjz

Twitchy fave @redsteeze, aka The Other Stephen Miller, turned Buttigieg’s word salad into something a little more concise (but just as unpalatable):
That darn constitution. Always manipulating things in a way I don’t like. https://t.co/xj4WpzqqMD

That’s pretty much the gist of Buttigieg’s argument. And as Miller points out, that argument is dumb enough on its face. But when you examine it more deeply, it becomes even dumber. Not to mention more intellectually dishonest:
It was absolutely brilliant how the GOP manipulated the electoral college to having them lose 2008 and 2012 just so they could spring their real trap in 2016.

Those shifty Republicans … they were just biding their time.
