As Twitchy told you last night, Newsweek took the media’s slobbering love affair with Beto O’Rourke to the next level with this shameless piece of presidential fan fiction:

According to O’Rourke’s Medium blog post, the possible Democratic presidential hopeful wants to “follow our own laws” — sort of:
Let’s do this the right way and follow our own laws. Allow asylum seekers to petition for asylum at our ports of entry. They must do so peacefully and follow our laws; but we must also ensure the capacity to effectively and timely process those claims (right now 5,000 waiting in Tijuana and only 40 to 100 are processed a day).
But honestly, we’re kind of disappointed he didn’t opt for a solution that’s more in his wheelhouse:
