'DUDE'! Does this polling data make Debbie Stabenow's chances against John James look slim?

We’ve been burned by polls before, and it’s always good to proceed with caution … but it’s hard not to feel at least a little twinge of excitement over this:

MI Senate (n=880)

Debbie Stabenow (D) 49
John James (R) 47
George E. Huffman III 1
Marcia Squier (G) 1
John Howard Wilhelm 1

Unlike Gretchen Whitmer, Debbie Stabenow is losing among independents, 47-44. Both major candidates lead 95-3 among people in their own party.

Change Research isn’t the type of operation to give the GOP the benefit of the doubt, so these findings are noteworthy, to say the least.
