Last night, Ocasio-Cortez headlined not one, but two fundraisers put on by progressive groups in San Francisco. Tickets for one of them cost as much as $2,700. Which is a lot of money for most people. For someone so against income inequality, she sure does count on rich people to keep her crazy train running.

Now, it’s important to note that Shandi Singh, co-chair of San Francisco’s chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, said that attendees who couldn’t afford the hefty price tag wouldn’t be turned away. Which is very nice. But wouldn’t it’ve just been easier to make the events free? What does Ocasio-Cortez need funds for? Money’s just a tool of The Man anyway. A symbol of our capitalist oppressors.
