ALERT – White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer will talk live to @WolfBlitzer on CNN in a moment, in @CNNSitRoom

— Vaughn Sterling (@vplus) April 11, 2017

By now, you’ve no doubt heard about Sean Spicer’s epically awkward remarks about Hitler and chemical weapons. After the story had a few hours to fester, Spicer went on Wolf Blitzer’s “Situation Room” to publicly apologize:

Spicer on @CNNSitRoom – "I apologize."

— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) April 11, 2017

.@SeanSpicer on @CNN now: "I mistakenly used an insensitive and inappropriate reference to the Holocaust..I apologize for doing that."

There you have it.

On CNN, @PressSec took and answered repeated hard questions from @wolfblitzer & made an unequivocal apology.

Viewers’ reactions are a bit … mixed:

Is this the first unadulterated unqualified apology from someone inside the administration?

No fan of Spicey but good on him for admitting it was inappropriate and actually using the word "apologize".
