Though Donald Trump’s tribute to fallen Navy SEAL Ryan Owens and his widow Carryn earned praise and respect from even some of his most vocal detractors, some critics still couldn’t resist the urge to bash him for it.
As obnoxious as it is to be outraged at Trump over this, though, it’s on another plane entirely to go after Carryn Owens. But that’s exactly what former Obama and Hillary volunteer Dan Grilo did last night (screenshot via Fox News):
Needless to say, Grilo didn’t make a lot of friends over that tweet. As Fox News reported, Grilo first protected his tweets and then deleted his Twitter account entirely. But the damage was already done.
This afternoon, Grilo’s employer, consulting firm Liberty Advisor Group, announced that they’d axed him:
