Kal Penn isn’t a knee-jerk defender of conservatives. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

But even he can see that The New York Times’ shocking — shocking! — exposé on Marco Rubio and his wife‘s traffic citations is nothing more than an exercise in hackery:
