Two days ago, a British soldier was beheaded by a jihadist on the streets of London in broad daylight. Absolutely horrific. But the real crime, according to UK police? Speaking ill of radical Islam.
Following the attack, British Prime Minister David Cameron shamefully called the murder “a betrayal of Islam.” But his pathetic statement wasn’t the end of the kowtowing line. In another truly sickening example of political correctness run amok, UK media report that three British men were arrested for “inciting racial or religious hatred” after posting disparaging remarks about Islam on social media.
Following the killing of a British Soldier in #Woolwich, two men have been arrested for making alleged offensive comments on social media.

According to reports, two men, 22 and 23, were arrested for making “offensive comments” about Islam on Twitter. They have since been released on bail.
Avon and Somerset Police Inspector Ed Yaxley explained the arrests:
“The men were arrested under the Public Order Act on suspicion of inciting racial or religious hatred. Our inquiries into these comments continue.”
Another man, 22, was charged with “malicious communications” for comments he made on Facebook.
Cab Office flying rainbow flag is offensive to muslims. But being offensive to muslims on Facebook 'cuz of #Woolwich gets you arrested?

Yet another was confronted by police and issued a warning.
But in the minds of P.C. practitioners like Yaxley, taking this sort of action to silence free speech is perfectly reasonable when Islam’s reputation is at stake:
“These comments were directed against a section of our community. Comments such as these are completely unacceptable and only cause more harm to our community in Bristol.
People should stop and think about what they say on social media before making statements as the consequences could be serious.”
What about the radical Islamists, Inspector? You know, the people who have made it their life’s mission to stoke the flames of racial and religious hatred through acts of terror? Aren’t they the ones causing harm to your community — and communities around the world?
Downright pathetic. While law enforcement officials like this sniveling inspector are busy fretting over harsh words, they’re excusing those who condone and commit genuine violence.
@LFBWaterFairy and those celebrating #Woolwich remain free while those who reacted, albeit badly, are arrested. It's a scandal.

A scandal, indeed. Remember when Britain prided itself on being a free society?
