Apparently there's an 'activity book' to help Canadian parents promote euthanasia to their kids

For some reason, Canada is viewed by many some sort of safe — albeit cold — space, a haven for fairness and goodness and justice and free health care and human rights. At least that’s how it’s described by all the people who threaten to move to Canada every time a Republican gets elected to political office.

But if you actually stop and take a closer look at Canada, you’ll find that it’s far from all it’s cracked up to be. Especially with regard to the health care and human rights stuff.

Take the whole euthanasia thing, for example. When faced with the prospect of euthanizing a beloved pet, most pet owners are devastated. Children are devastated. But when it comes to euthanizing other human beings, the Canadian government and health care system have a much rosier outlook, and they evidently want kids to feel the same way about it:

Somehow I didn’t catch that tweet back in July when Canadian Virtual Hospice sent it out. That meant I got an extra few months of blissful ignorance about such an “activity book” existing.

The irony of euthanasia being promoted as “health care” should not be lost on anyone. And they’re promoting it to children. Sorry, but I just can’t wrap my brain around that. I can’t even begin to wrap my brain around that.

There’s nothing cute about euthanasia. And it’s actually extremely deranged to try and sugarcoat it like this.

Or at least ther was a time when this would have been unbelievable. Sadly, these days it’s becoming more commonplace.

Pray for the future.
