Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis doesn’t seem terribly concerned about making Disney angry. That’s why he hasn’t begged the House of Mouse’s forgiveness for backing the Parental Rights in Education bill, falsely labeled by liberal media and activists as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
#BREAKING: Gov. Ron DeSantis fires back at Disney after media giant says its "goal" is repeal of Parental Rights in Education Act: "This state is governed by the interests of the people of the state of Florida. It is not based on the demands of California corporate executives." pic.twitter.com/4NToMU84bR

DeSantis is wisely counting on Disney not to be stupid enough to actually, seriously contemplate pulling out of Florida over the legislation. Because as outraged as Disney claims to be over the Parental Rights in Education bill, their primary concern by far is money (hence their refusal to sever business ties with serial human rights abuser China).
Disney’s not going anywhere, of course, but the Lincoln Project — expert grifters that they are — are doing what they can to milk every last drop out of this:
Ron DeSantis is not only attacking LGBTQ+ communities and their families, he also thinks it’s a good idea to attack Florida’s biggest tourist attraction and the hard-working Floridians that work there.
Florida, is this really the man you want in charge? https://t.co/27IE1l8cZm

The Lincoln Project thinks it’s a good idea to attack Florida’s very popular governor over a law that makes it more difficult for teachers to discuss sexuality with kids without any input from their parents. Going after Ron DeSantis is counterproductive enough, but going after Ron DeSantis for a law designed to protect kids from adults who want to talk to them about sex? How did no one at The Lincoln Project stop to consider the optics before leaning in so hard?
Archetypal "you should really sit this one out" tweet. https://t.co/mB1l6EG284

Uh, yeah.
The Pedo Project should probably sit this one out https://t.co/QDu16ypR0a

Sit it way the hell out, Lincoln Project.
No big surprise the boys at @ProjectLincoln would oppose a bill prohibiting discussions of sex with very young minor children. https://t.co/ezzD4Z45yc

This shows extremely poor judgment on The Lincoln Project’s part. To be fair, though, poor judgment is kind of their M.O.
Ironically, FL's Parental Rights law really would prevent a teacher from giving a lesson about the founders and early days of the Lincoln Project.
You'd think they'd be big supporters. https://t.co/bFrspjFuVK

Harsh but true.
DeSantis made an argument that just government is dependent on the consent of the governed. The Lincoln Project, not familiar with consent, is unhappy. https://t.co/Lf7iTYT8vh

Ohhhh, snap. That’ll definitely leave a mark.
A well deserved one, of course.
