By now, you’ve probably heard that Elizabeth Warren has said no to Fox News’ invitation to hold a town hall event, citing their “hate-for-profit” model that mixes “bigotry, racism, and outright lies.” She really, really needs you to hear about, because she’s trying to fundraise off of it:
Warren fundraising off of decision to reject Fox News town hall: “instead of helping Fox News turn a fatter profit, I’ll keep building the grassroots movement that we need to win in 2020 and make real change starting in 2021. If you’re with me, will you pitch in $3…?” pic.twitter.com/WukXUXq6QG

Let’s recap: Elizabeth Warren’s campaign is on life support. She just turned down an opportunity to reach a massive audience. And now, she wants you to throw your money at her. Who in their right mind would give their hard-earned money to someone who clearly has history of making very bad decisions?
She doesn’t think much of her supporters.

Evidently she’s right to not think much of them. Because they’re suckers:
Dont do this @mj_lee
Asking for 3 bucks to steer clear of Fox's disgusting platform is the least we can give to her grassroots campaign.
I think relating the facts of Fox's dirty money and the need for funds for her campaign are perfectly reasonable to get the job done.

And it worked. It’s not much but it’s my third donation this month. pic.twitter.com/23TPWzn0Xb

A fool, his money … you know the drill.
So it was less about principle than it was about the opportunity to raise money for her campaign by claiming such a principle…

It was never about anything other than raising money. Elizabeth Warren hates money in politics — unless she’s the one benefiting.
