As Twitchy told you, today marks the first White House press briefing since Jim Acosta returned from exile. It also marks the apparent debut of this Real News approach from Acosta’s network CNN:
CNN is airing the briefing — but this "facts first" side panel seems like a new idea pic.twitter.com/xzZOIbFTFQ

Anyone remember CNN doing that when Robert Gibbs, Jay Carney, or Josh Earnest were up on that podium lying through their teeth?
Or nine years ago. Not like CNN’s graphics department wasn’t capable of this sort of thing back then. Why’d they wait until Sarah Sanders showed up to try to fact-check the press secretary’s statements in real time? Did facts not come first before? Or are some facts just more equal than others?
Exit question:
Who is fact checking CNN though?
