Gun control arguments in general aren’t terribly good or compelling, but David Hogg’s are in a class of their own.
Remember this one from earlier this week?
Imagine saying the only way to stop shark attacks is with more sharks.
— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) November 14, 2018
About 12 hours after that, he hit “Tweet” on this one:
Imagine arguing that guns make us free while living in a police state because we’re getting there.
— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) November 15, 2018
Oh, David … bless your heart.
Do you even think about the words you‘re about to tweet before you send it, or did you change your stance on gun control?

Does anyone else feel this does not make any sense?
— Justin Helgeson?? (@Helge30) November 15, 2018
Time for a show of hands!
Here’s the thing: If we’re really turning into a “police state,” an armed citizenry would be a pretty good way to reverse course.
Imagine arguing that guns should be banned while living in a police state, because we’re getting there.
— Michael Starry (@MichaelJStarry) November 15, 2018
Sooooo we becoming a police state? So we should give the police all the guns. To become a police state faster?
— Thebortman5000 (@Thebortman5000) November 15, 2018
You want only the government to have guns dude.
That would make it a police state.
— Jingle Bell Sasquatch (@mynameissquatch) November 15, 2018
Giving our guns away is what will make it a police state in the first place. Ask anyone from Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge…
— Silver Shinobi (@ShirubaiStudios) November 15, 2018
Imagine believing that we're nearly living in a police state and thinking only the police should have guns. https://t.co/Fxphq8IebW

I rather have a gun in a police state than not have one.

Imagine if someone from the gun-grabbing crowd made a rational and logical argument.
