When Emily Zanotti’s not writing fantastic content for the Daily Wire, she’s trolling the Resistance like a boss.
Hilarious thread: https://t.co/N6U9Wxo6Yk

Hilarious is right. You’ve really gotta read this thing:
I finally got blocked from my neighborhood "Resistance" page (apparently, they did a search for me after a member SHOCKINGLY REVEALED) I work for @realDailyWire, so I can finally reveal my "long con" to you, Twitter.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
A few months ago, the "Resistance" started a petition drive, because Fox News was on in the bar section of a local restaurant, and members "couldn't eat" in the same room as "fake news." They "felt sick to their stomachs" even if they couldn't hear or even see the TV.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
Now, mind you, they didn't ask the bartender or the waitstaff to change the channel. They went around and got signatures and delivered the petition to the restaurant.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
Since then, I've been quietly asking local restaurants to change one TV to Fox News when I go in. No sound, I just politely ask for the TV to be switched so I can watch during my meal. Pretty much no one cares, and I assume the TVs get left on Fox when I'm done.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
This went on for a few months, all harmless and I need the TV on for work. I never pressured anyone. I just…switched one TV to Fox News. Maybe once per week…tops.
And then one day, they caught. on.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
Fox News was on everywhere (it wasn't)! The city is filled with secret Republicans (it's not).
Panic ensued. SOMEONE was DELIBERATELY triggering them, they said. HOW DID THEY KNOW. They MUST have a MOLE!
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
As I watched, the group completely turned on each other, Twilight Zone "Monsters of Maple Street" style. EVERYONE was a suspect.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
Now, I am 100% sure they know exactly who has been quietly turning the TVs to Fox, because I was not just kicked out of the group, I was blocked. But I think it was probably worth it.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
Oh, it totally was.
You WHAT
— Bethany S. Mandel (@bethanyshondark) October 23, 2018
They are SHOOK, Bethany.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
So shook.

Our only regret is that we don’t have video footage of those Resistance warriors flipping their lids. We’ll just have to use our imaginations.
This made me smile on a grumpy day.

Update:
More from Zanotti:
I want to point out that, although I had a lot of fun, the weirdest (and funniest) part of this story is the petition drive.
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
Which, it now occurs to me that they probably never asked to turn the TVs back because they couldn’t undertake that many petition drives.
I’m an even bigger jerk than I thought!
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) October 23, 2018
In case you were wondering, this is the thread (from a few months ago) about the Fox News petition drive. I wasn’t kidding! pic.twitter.com/z9um7STKpf

You guys.
That’s just epic!
