As Twitchy told you, Ted Cruz confronted Mark Zuckerberg about Facebook’s apparent censorship of conservative stories and pages. Included in the exchange was Cruz asking Zuckerberg if he agreed with many Americans’ assessment that Facebook is guilty of “a pervasive pattern of political bias.” Zuckerberg’s response began:
“Senator, let me say a few things about this: First, I understand where that concern is coming from, because Facebook and the tech industry are located in Silicon Valley, which is an extremely left-leaning place.”
Zuckerberg has earned a reputation as a pretty slippery guy, but it’s hard to argue with him on that point. Fortunately, the New York Times’ John Herrman was up to the challenge:
Oh, we don’t know, John … we’d say your tweet easily beats it. Even when you deletes it.
@jwherrman deleted his nonsense, but the internet is Forever…?

Thank goodness for that. We’d hate to have missed out on it.
In what possible way is that a ridiculous statement?

Are you drunk?

Yea, Bay Area, that must be why they are always electing those darn conservatives. Put down the crack pipe

OMG this is so funny. A @NYTimes reporter would complain about this. Absolutely pathetic https://t.co/uTUUTAXghb

This tweet is just actively begging to be ratioed.

And it would’ve been, too … if only he hadn’t deleted it! He really shouldn’t’ve. He actually had a point — just not the one he was hoping for:
I agree, 'extremely' doesn't even begin to describe how left-leaning it is.
— Justyna (@justek_d) April 10, 2018
True.
He should have used two more 'extremelys', at least. https://t.co/gBsEGR8c76
