As Twitchy told you, the U.N. General Assembly flexed its rippling muscles today, voting overwhelmingly to condemn the U.S.’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
But because the U.N. really has no authority over us, they need all the P.R. help they can get when it comes to selling their condemnation as powerful and meaningful. Enter the New York Times:
Breaking News: In a stinging rebuke, the UN General Assembly condemned the U.S. decree on Jerusalem. The vote was 128 to 9, with 35 abstentions. https://t.co/Zx2SPpWNZ6

UNITED NATIONS — A majority of the world’s nations delivered a stinging rebuke to the United States on Thursday, denouncing its decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and ignoring President Trump’s threats to retaliate by cutting aid to countries voting against it.

If the rebuked do not feel stung, can it properly be called a "stinging rebuke"? https://t.co/0UpneX8WeQ
— virginiahume (@virginiahume) December 21, 2017
Stinging? Hardly. Expected? Absolutely. The condemnation means nothing. Zero. Nada. Our money, on the other hand, means much.

GP Or, "UN Pitches a Fit, Covers Eyes, Stamps Feet, Refuses to Acknowledge Reality."
Jerusalem is Israel's capital, nonnegotiable. Whether Palestinians get a say over East Jerusalem or not is a matter for negotiation. https://t.co/C6Y70LOgz2

There was only one stinging rebuke today, and it wasn’t the U.N.’s:
The stinging rebuke was Nikki Haley's response, actually.
