MSNBC's Morning Joe crew pools their collective brainpower but can't quite pinpoint a possible motive for deadly knife attack in Nice [video]

Following the deadly attack in a Nice, France, church by a knife-wielding man shouting “Allahu Akbar,” the “Morning Joe” team brought their analysis A-game:

Between the three of them, they just can’t figure out what might possibly have motivated the murderer. To be fair, it’s a real head-scratcher.

It’s a mystery https://t.co/peJGGeniu5

That’s probably it!

i think the charitable interpretation here is that willie geist means we don't know if the terrorist acted in response to a specific incident (i.e. someone showing a cartoon of Mohammad) or if the terrorist just up and murdered people. https://t.co/nppru70DDC

That’s a very charitable interpretation. But “Morning Joe” doesn’t really deserve a charitable interpretation. Lord knows they’re not being charitable when they blame every act of violence on Trump somehow.
