I just sat through a video that ought to make every American still dreaming about government-run healthcare sit up and pay attention.
A Canadian woman with stage 4 cancer didn’t get a fighting chance from her country’s system. She got medically assisted death framed as basically her only option. That’s not care. That’s a system so broken it would rather end the patient than treat the disease.
This Canadian woman was given MAID as her only choice for stage 4 cancer in Deathcare Canada. She went to the US and death was not the option the doctors there gave her.

I find the healthcare in the US unquestionably superior. Health insurance is the same since I don't pay income tax in Florida, I pay it on insurance. There is immediate, private healthcare if you need it.
Medically assisted suicide is not an option they offer.
She fled to the United States.

Down here, doctors didn’t hand her a pamphlet on suicide. They handed her treatment options. She’s still alive, still fighting, and even hiking mountains the Canadian system had already written her off from ever seeing again.
I don’t know how anyone watches that and still wants to import Canada’s model. We’ve been screaming about this for years. Sarah Palin got mocked into the dirt for warning about death panels. The press and the left called her a liar. PolitiFact crowned it the “Lie of the Year.”
Because of course they did.
Fast forward. Canada’s healthcare is collapsing. Wait times kill people. They’re importing doctors because they can’t keep their own. And when the wait is too long or the cost too high for the bureaucrats, they just offer you the needle.
That’s not compassion. That’s rationing with a smile.
For all its problems, our system still starts from “let’s try to save you.” That’s the difference. That’s the whole ballgame.
Democrats keep selling Medicare for All like it’s free magic. It isn’t. It’s Canada. And Canada is offering death as a service.
We’re not going there. Not if I can help it.
