Back in the thick of the COVID circus, Deborah Birx (yes, the one with the endless scarves and the holier-than-thou vibes) rolls into Knoxville and starts barking orders: shut down the restaurants and bars. Locals push back with actual data showing the virus wasn't spreading there. Her reply?

Basically, "True, but we still have to make everyone think this is serious."Jacobs nailed it when he called the whole government response a marketing campaign that had almost nothing to do with public health.
We were gaslit for years. Question the lockdowns? You're a grandma-killer. Point out the inconsistencies? Conspiracy theorist. White nationalist. Traitor.
Meanwhile, the experts were staging a performance, closing doors not because the science demanded it, but because the optics did. Theater over evidence. Fear over freedom. And the collateral damage—ruined livelihoods, delayed medical care, mental health crises—was just the cost of putting on a good show.
Jacobs stood up to that nonsense then, keeping Knox County as free as possible, and he's still refusing to let the revisionist history win. Bless him. Because if the top brass admitted the data didn't matter as long as the panic looked real, what else did they sacrifice for the narrative?
This is exactly why I do what I do here. The Left wants us to move on and pretend it was all noble science. Nope. We're keeping the receipts, calling out the charade, and celebrating the folks who never bought the hype.
Honestly, I've lost count of how many times the scary 'conspiracy theorists' have been right.
