My family lived in California for a brief time in the mid-2000s (yes, I am getting old), and I can tell you from experience that unless you've lived in California your whole life, it can get very confusing very quickly to drive there. Our joke used to be that we couldn't drive anywhere on the highway in California without seeing a mattress, a ladder, or a pile of tires on the side of the road.
If you think I'm kidding, ask any Californian if they've ever seen a mattress on the side of the highway, and I bet you they have.
Anyway, back to the story of this El Salvadoran illegal who accidentally took a wrong turn ...
I know, it's small and petty for me to laugh at this, but people breaking the law to come to my country while others are working hard to become Americans piss me off and brings out my petty.
