Thoughtful Thread DEFENDING Evangelicals For Supporting Trump Will Absolutely Infuriate NeverTrump

Ok, if you have been following me for any length of time you know way back in 2015 and even 2016, I was very much #NeverTrump. Unlike many others in that group, I accepted he won and decided to start calling balls and strikes for 45. As I have said before, I was more than pleasantly surprised by his first three years of policies and actions and even voted for him in 2020.

And while I have not gotten on any sort of bandwagon or 'train' this primary season, I have known I will vote for whoever takes the nod because quite frankly, I am not sure our country can take another four years of Biden. Sadly, there are still people who cannot accept Trump, and while part of me understands, another part of me would crawl over broken glass to vote for Trump if that meant no more Biden.

One of the biggest complaints I'm seeing about Trump and his supporters is one I've seen for years and years, and that's people shaming evangelicals for supporting him because of his divorces, adultery, etc. etc. This thread from one of my favorite Tweeters, Physics Geek, I think explains why they support Trump in a very thoughtful and accurate way. So you know the haters will HATE IT.

Take a look:

Hard to debate the fact he appointed really good SCOTUS justices and HEY, I bet all of them can define a woman.

Keep going.

Trump really was the first president to come in and do something about Roe, even if by default. We've heard so many Republicans over the year tell us how important life is and yet ... what did they really do?

Yeah, the golden idol stuff is creepy AF.

Don't do that.

See what I mean?

Nailed it.
