Remember all those times Chris ‘Fredo’ Cuomo had Josh Earnest on his show so he could ask him if Obama was a liar while doing everything he could to pick a fight with and embarrass him? Yeah, so many times …
Oh, wait.
"No. I don't believe the President has lied."
Trump campaign national press secretary Kayleigh McEnany tells @ChrisCuomo President Trump has never lied to the country. pic.twitter.com/oSlLHZ4h0m— Cuomo Prime Time (@CuomoPrimeTime) August 29, 2019
So what was the point of this interview? To prove to his 12 viewers that he’s an unprofessional hack who hates Trump? Even Soledad O’Brien, who we know is definitely not a fan of Trump’s, called this ‘mess’ out.
What is the value of this mess? Why invite kayleigh on—is the only point to argue with her? This doesn’t inform anyone, is a complete waste of time and takes up space so more important stories won’t get coverage. This is a mess. https://t.co/6CXmqKmVgv

She said mess TWICE.
And yes, it was a mess.
To Soledad’s point, nothing was really accomplished here, other than providing a bunch of Leftist rags with their ‘WATCH CUOMO SCHOOL TRUMPETTE’ material. Maybe Fredo was feeling a little emasculated after the altercation bit a few weeks back and thought asking McEanany a bunch of silly questions would make him feel better about himself.
Brian Stelter was super stoked about the interview …

Watch this extraordinary exchange on @CuomoPrimeTime. @KayleighMcenany says the president has never lied. "He doesn't lie. The press lies." pic.twitter.com/5ruBpUoezd

Extraordinary.
Soledad called tater out too:
It is not extraordinary. It is embarrassingly messy. Hard to watch and over the top. It educates and informs no one. It takes up space that could be used for other, more important content. The fact that you, the media reporter, thinks this is ‘extraordinary’ is particularly sad https://t.co/6PMdlaPVfb

We agree with Soledad. Whoa.
‘The fact that you, the media reporter, think this is ‘extraordinary’ is particularly sad.
Damn, son.
Here’s whatI think. It’s a game. It’s an act. It’s why he thanks a guest who called him a liar. It’s absurd and instead of calling it what it is, you pretend to be impressed. And that’s truly sad.

It’s CNN. *shrug*
I’m not sure why anybody would watch Cuomo’s show when Maddow’s on at the same time speaking truth to power every single night.
— Pop (@financejonE) August 29, 2019
Heh.
Truth to power.
Cuomo chooses spectacle over substance, every time, playing to the lowest common denominator. Most of CNN is like this now. This sure as hell isn’t the CNN of Ted Turner or Christiane Amanpour, or Soledad O’Brien for that matter. Sad indeed.

That’s all Cuomo has ever been about. He is as uninformative as a blank dictionary.
— Rod (@hemingwayrod) August 29, 2019
He’s ridiculous. The show is ridiculous! @CNN #ChrisCuomo
