We all knew Brian Stelter would be taking a victory lap today after Jim Acosta’s press pass was given back to him but watching him claim that this was in some way a win for the Constitution may be even more annoying than CNN’s lawsuit.
Ok, it’s not but it’s close.
“Today, a major precedent was set for the future of a free press. It is a win for one reporter, but most importantly a win for the Constitution and the enduring freedoms it grants us all."

Only if that precedent is that having a press pass to the White House is a Constitutional right.
Hey, where’s our press pass!? We’re being oppressed!
Seriously how is it a win for the Constitution for @Acosta to have a press pass? How is it not against the Constitution for anyone else to not have one? I understand (maybe) if CNN was being barred, but only 1 reporter's pass was taken..

It really is ridiculous. Jim could have apologized or CNN could have sent another reporter but they didn’t really want to fix the situation, they wanted to make an example of the White House for being big ol’ meanies.
We know, it’s stupid. Welcome to 2018.

Word.
Check out the brave little firefighter that cares about the Constitution now.?

He’s so brave!
LOL, the US Constitution will survive without CNN.

Obvs.
Where can I find in the Constitution the right that states all press members must have free and unfettered access to the President and be allowed to ask him several questions while everyone else tries to get a turn?

The judge didn't rule on 1A claim, Issued injunction based on 5A takings clause. If the govt gives you something of value (in this case a hard pass) then it needs to follow due process to take it away. Nothing about free press.

Oops.
Lol… There wasn't even a ruling.
— Jay K (@JayKlos) November 16, 2018
No precedent was set and the injunction was not granted on 1A grounds.
This is embarrassing.— Grant Bosse (@grantbosse) November 16, 2018
Just another day that ends in ‘y’ for ol’ Bri.
