Would appear several former Obama lackeys are a little fussy over the POLITICO piece Josh Meyer wrote about Obama and Hezbollah. Guess it’s hard for them to know how to react when a media outlet that’s NOT Fox News treats Obama like a former president and not the Messiah.
Poor little fellas.
The Obama bros sound just like Trumpkins when they read a news story they don’t like: https://t.co/MIeK3saCC1
— Michael Weiss (@michaeldweiss) December 21, 2017
Indeed.
See for yourself:
There are many reasonable critiques of Obama's foreign policy. The idea that he was soft on Hezbollah is not one of them. The story is so manufactured out of thin air that it's hard to push back except to say that it's a figment of the imagination of two very flawed sources.
— Tommy Vietor (@TVietor08) December 20, 2017
Uh-oh, Tommy seems upset. But since he wasn’t brave enough to actually tag the author of the piece, this is just a pretty weak ass subtweet. Luckily Meyer was either made aware of the tweet or came across it because he responded.
It’s actually based on dozens of sources, piles of USG documents and months of reporting, @TVietor08. But pls DO push back. Any specifics? https://t.co/SARuVPGOgJ
— Josh Meyer (@JoshMeyerDC) December 20, 2017
Good question.
On the record sources have undisclosed anti-Iran deal bias. How does that happen? Why didn’t Lisa Monaco or Brennan get asked for comment? Background quotes speculating on motives, not presenting evidence. Hezbollah is a complicated org but not part of Iran deal negotiations.

Ummm …
1/ Actually, @TVietor08, Lisa Monaco declined numerous requests for comment, after I sent her detailed memos on my findings. John Brennan also gave me a no comment in person at @AspenSecurity Forum. Also, which of my many on-record sources are "biased"? https://t.co/cX9fHhf11t
— Josh Meyer (@JoshMeyerDC) December 20, 2017
Keep pushing him, Josh.
Lisa disagrees. John disagrees. The sources who work at anti-Iran deal think tanks have an obvious POV. Everyone I’ve spoken to in a position to know says the entire premise is flat wrong.
— Tommy Vietor (@TVietor08) December 21, 2017
Oh, the ‘he said she said’ defense is adorable, especially when this guy was just complaining about unknown sources in Meyer’s article.
That's the thing @Tvietor08 your echo chamber keeps saying my @politico piece is wrong but offer zero specifics. I'm gonna take the high road and not respond further until you do. Meantime, happy holidays y'all. Btw, don't you supporters of Iran Deal also have "an obvious POV"? https://t.co/suI1dxnr2G
— Josh Meyer (@JoshMeyerDC) December 21, 2017
That’s what echo chambers do, they protect people inside from having to think about other ideas or listen to other viewpoints. Obamaites are famous for their elaborate echo chambers.
It’s impossible to prove a negative. That’s the problem here. I believe that whoever told you that obama was soft on hez to appease Iran was wrong. Not going to have time to dig into more on twitter. Happy holidays to you too. Not personal just disagree on policy.
— Tommy Vietor (@TVietor08) December 21, 2017
Nothing personal, just trying to smear you and your article by implying you’re a liar and stuff. Happy holidays.
What a schmuck.
Then this TFG:
Missing the forest, lying about the trees: Politico's attack on the Iran deal https://t.co/VocfZTYIkR # via @HuffPostPol
— Ned Price (@nedprice) December 20, 2017
When you’re using Huffington Post to smear POLITICO you might be running out of echo chambers.
Why, @NedPrice, do you keep trying (unsuccessfully) to dismiss my @politico story with non-denial denials & reliance on @Obama echo chamberists like @Brhodes as all of Twitter has noted? Are think tank affiliations only bad if it's not pro-Iran deal folks like you & @tparsi? https://t.co/34DWjjowHV
— Josh Meyer (@JoshMeyerDC) December 22, 2017
Because Josh, you failed to kiss his king’s ring and dared to write something less than flattering about him. When media outlets start telling the truth, Obama minions get nasty.
Real nasty.
You're smarter than that. Why didn't Bush bring UBL to justice? Why did Baghdadi escape Obama and Trump (so far)? Seeking a terrorist doesn't automatically place him in custody. Meanwhile, you downplay the success the Obama admin had against Hiz bc it didn't fit your narrative. https://t.co/bYpstPBdvj
— Ned Price (@nedprice) December 21, 2017
But BUSH.
And seriously, Ned, this is a POLITICO journo, not Fox News.
I'm really trying not to litigate this on twitter @NedPrice but … big differences, and you know it. You guys knew exactly where the Hezbollah targets I reported on were; some were in custody overseas. And I never said u had no successes, but since u bring it up, what were they? https://t.co/zYUBTIEqwb
— Josh Meyer (@JoshMeyerDC) December 22, 2017
This oughta be good.
Josh, your disingenuousness is showing. Even your piece gives v brief lip service to arrests & enforcement actions under Obama. & if you are so impartial, why did you reject my (and others’) repeated entreaties to provide on the record responses? (We have receipts, as you know). https://t.co/K54nWdHrIs
— Ned Price (@nedprice) December 22, 2017
Notice Ned didn’t really answer his question.
.@nedprice, like I said I'm done responding to all of these made-up claims & smears. The truth, as you know, is that key Obama people dodged me, one of them for months, refusing to respond to calls, texts, long memos and in person. If you have specific rebuttals, let's see them. https://t.co/ZlxH892F88
— Josh Meyer (@JoshMeyerDC) December 22, 2017
BOOM.
Ned didn’t answer this tweet either.
In case you missed the story the Obama Bros are squawking about:
Hey all, here's the story @NedPrice and the rest of the @Potus44 Obama admin echo chamber don't want you to read. Judge for yourselves, folks, so I can stop having to respond to these shabby Twitter smear campaigns. https://t.co/jWAAYbcEmB https://t.co/M6FVCaIUlr
