Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed over the weekend that she was only joking about that whole ‘world ending in 12 years’ thing and that the GOP was super dumb for taking her seriously. Like, OMG, did they really think the world would end in 12 years? LIKE LOL and stuff, right?

“This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and ‘fact check’ it,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote Sunday. “Like the ‘world ending in 12 years’ thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal. But the GOP is basically Dwight from The Office so who knows.”
They didn’t even touch on the fact that she claimed she was JOKING ABOUT THE WORLD ENDING IN 12 YEARS.
Guys, we’re certainly not journalists but even we know the real story here isn’t that she made fun of the GOP.
