Just so we’re clear, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is clueless about what the Federal Government’s job really is and this tweet absolutely proves that. Like other Democratic Socialists, she doesn’t seem to have any idea about what the feds are actually responsible for.
If she did she’d realize that her tweets where she’s complaining about what ‘we’ have money for are actual federal responsibilities.
Just so we’re clear.
Things we FIND money to pay for:
✅ $2T in tax cuts for billionaires
✅ $210 Billion Trade War
✅ $XX? Space Force (who cares how much, right?)Things We Refuse to Pay for:
❌ Just Recovery for Puerto Rico??
❌ Medicare for All
❌ Tuition-Free College— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) August 10, 2018
Tax cuts went out to 80% of Americans and sorry, most of them are not billionaires and the government isn’t ‘paying’ for them either.
Space Force is a function of defense, which the feds are responsible for.
They’re not responsible for Medicare for all and free college … just no.
Holy crap.
Wow, you really need to learn some civics, some economics, and some math. Quickly

We’re starting to understand why she said no to debating Ben Shapiro.
Tax cuts are people keeping their own money. Like me saying that it’s costing me if my employer doesn’t give me a raise, that money isn’t mine.

But billionaires and stuff!
There is no such thing as a tuition free college! Our tax dollars pay for it. By the way why are you against people making money?
— Inga Mae (@IngaMae) August 10, 2018
Tax cuts for Americans is not “finding money” so tired of socialists thinking someone else’s things belong to the state. People work hard for their money

It would seem a good many people are sick of socialists; just look at how the candidates Alexandria supported did earlier this week.
The U.S. Constitution gives the Federal government the responsibility over the military, national taxes and international commerce, and does NOT give it power to pay for health care and education. And we've given Puerto Rico over $50 billion in disaster aid. So there's that.
— Gary Kauffman (@GaryKauffman77) August 10, 2018
Seems pretty simple, yeah?
Well, Medicare for all costs $3.4 trillion a year. There are 540 billionaires in the US with a combined net worth of $2.3 trillion, so if you taxed them $2 trillion they wouldn't even be millionaires anymore. Tariffs are actually tax hikes. You should approve.

Math is clearly bigoted.
“But how are we going to pay for the Space Force?”
Oh wait sorry – we only ask that when it comes to healthcare, education, and saving the planet. https://t.co/J4Z1QVrDue
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) August 10, 2018
IT’S. NOT. THE. JOB. OF. TAXPAYERS. TO. FUND. HEALTHCARE. AND. EDUCATION.
*if only we could get clap emoji in our articles*
And what the Heck does she mean by saving the planet?
Kids these days.
