Pitbull exiled to Alaska thanks to Internet voters

After an Internet campaign by Boston Phoenix writer David Thorpe garnered the Kodiak, Alaska Walmart over 70,000 Facebook likes, Pitbull will head there to play a show as part of his upcoming tour.

In a promotion for Walmart, the rap star agreed to visit whichever store received the most “likes” on its Facebook page.

Naturally, the Internet jumped at the opportunity to send Pitbull far, far away.

Pitbull will be shuttling to Kodiak, Alaska, to greet Walmart customers, thanks to a successfully-executed #ExilePitbull campaign.
