Nobody gave this team a chance.
It doesn’t matter, because the Boston Celtics believed in themselves all along and now sit one win away from a third NBA Finals appearance in five years after beating the Miami Heat on their home court, 94-90, on Tuesday night.
The most shocking part is that Miami stars Dwyane Wade and LeBron James were in full force last night, while Rajon Rondo shot just 3-15, and the C’s still found a way to pull off the win.
Naturally, this morning Twitter is full of people apologizing to the Celtics for assuming that Miami was going to win the series before it had even started.
Bandwagoners.
The same #Celtics team that lost to the Raptors in mid-April is one win away from going to the NBA Finals.

I apologize to the Celtics. Had no confidence in them, picked Miami by default. But Boston deserves credit 2 win a big game on the road #wow

#Celtics: Under 500 at all-star break, ppl doubted if they'd even make it to the playoffs,"too old" & now ONE GAME AWAY FROM THE FINALS.

#clutch RT @Schultz1260: Crazy stat from ESPN: Celtics are 9~0 in Game 5s with the series tied 2-2 since 2008.

The Celtics are running on serious hater and championship fuel. The Heat play not to lose and to avoid getting wrecked on Twitter.

Danny Downer 😉 RT @DDuggan21: Not to douse some of the enthusiasm: The Celtics have blown 3-2 series leads in two of last three seasons.

Even the Celtics’ bitter rivals in Los Angeles have to give their props.
No lie – gotta give our rivals, the Celtics, lot of respect for straight up beating the heat. I know we're Laker fans, but it's the truth.
