Well, after all the back and forth between the Kraft family and Ed Sheeran over his platforming of Macklemore, the planned concert won't happen, after all.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Ed Sheeran's shows at Robert Kraft's Gillette Stadium are canceled.

The concert is being canceled because of expected bad weather. Womp-womp.
Dude ruined his career and reputation for NOTHING lmao https://t.co/rFEhdxIVa4

He could have never had a loser like Macklemore on tour.
Karma is at times very slow.
— Trita Parsi (@tparsi) September 25, 2026
And at times very swift... https://t.co/r4kcn843Rr
Karma would be his whole concert tour falling apart for platforming this whole 'Free Palestine' nonsense.
I'm so tired of this story. A bunch of crybaby millionaire musicians whining for weeks about nothing. https://t.co/kvf3MFntC8

Perhaps just play the music and stop trying to be political pundits.
“due to bad weather” 😭 https://t.co/m5B2yHnI9w
— Ali Abunimah (@AliAbunimah) September 25, 2026
Some doubt the actual bad weather is the issue.
TMZ are such dbags. Canceled cuz of nor’easter. https://t.co/b9GNmhedYP
— Rob Schmitt (@SchmittNYC) September 25, 2026
Others think TMZ is just looking for clickbait.
A+ social media work (in the story it’s specified that it’s because of weather) https://t.co/xoveLjiuYE

Ed Sheeran concert cancelled & refunds are available.
— GenXGirl (@GenXGirl1994) September 25, 2026
GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
“Refunds are available now at the point of purchase. Ticket holders who purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded." https://t.co/YkmF0Ulx6W
Maybe they can cancel the whole tour so we can stop hearing about it.
You could have added this but you didn't, why? pic.twitter.com/Ln7l39dDDP

TMZ trying to do a lie of omission when it was a weather thing.
— Eli Lebowicz (@EliLebowicz) September 25, 2026
TMZ has to make money somehow.
Funny how this was added an hour later after the main tweet got a lot of attention.
— Leftism (@LeftismForU) September 25, 2026
TMZ intentionally omitted this from the main tweet because they are dishonest hacks who know that people will just read the headline and think it was cancelled for other reasons. pic.twitter.com/mnVmidTP5P
TMZ had to let the initial tweet get some action first.
….because of the weather. The headline should add this.
— Talia (@tfiiiiine) September 25, 2026
Leave it up to TMZ to paint a false narrative ! You guys suck

This situation perfectly illustrates the consequences of letting a vocal minority dictate culture. I almost pity Ed Sheeran for being trapped in this position, but his lack of a solid moral compass means he ultimately just compromises his values to appease the critics.

He has placed himself in a literal no-win situation.
