Macklemore has decided the real reason he signed onto Ed Sheeran’s stadium tour was not the paycheck, the crowd, or the chance to remind everyone he still exists.

Full disclosure, we had forgotten he existed.

It was so he could turn MetLife into a pop-up seminar on Israel, campus occupations, and the alleged terrorism of ICE, then post the clip like he’d just discovered the concept of human dignity. After the predictable blowback — including a petition to bounce him from the remaining dates — the thrift-store philosopher doubled down, as if calling a federal agency a terror group and wrapping it in “Free Palestine” plus a greatest-hits list of other regimes is just another way of saying everyone deserves a hug.
