Screw those patients desperately in need of care, apparently.
A hospital’s nurses staged an emergency protest after ICE detained their coworker, Debora Kapisha, even though she was legally allowed to work while her asylum case was pending. pic.twitter.com/hekkZlZLNA

If ICE removed her, there was a removal order.
Why is it you never see any of these "pro-immigrant" people talk about changing the law rather than hobbling enforcement?
— Tread On Me Not (@tread_me_not) August 7, 2026
They just don't believe America should be able to enforce laws.
You can see just how much they value and care about their patients, eh?

Embarrassing to nurses.

Same group of people who danced for TikTok while grandma died alone. Same group of people who danced while I was fired for refusing a vaccination.

I'd have to be dying to risk my life at a hospital. I'll never trust your vile profession again. https://t.co/1DpY1PKunn
Oh, America has not forgotten. Why didn't they 'walk out' to protect those patients? Why didn't they walk out to demand those patients have access to their families or at least one advocate?
100 "nurses" just ignored at least as many patients healthcare. Lawsuit incoming. https://t.co/OLavzL95LQ

It seems like since COVID, a whole lot of healthcare workers are way more concerned about political statements on social media and way less concerned about caring for sick people.
We will be asking ICE the following questions:
— The Maine Wire (@TheMaineWire) August 7, 2026
-On what date did Kapisha file her Form I-589 application for asylum?
-Did she apply for asylum before or after her authorized stay expired on Nov. 13, 2024?
-Was the application filed within one year of her May 14, 2024 arrival?… https://t.co/8CxZqTXpdE
Apparently, there are lots of questions around her 'asylum' application.
Fine work, as always from the Maine Wire - all the right questions. Maine deserves the full, honest truth about this situation, since it's being used for giant gaslighting and partisan politics by the Crooked Left.
— Naran Row-Spaulding (@NRSmaine) August 7, 2026
That's all the Left does.
Where did she receive her nursing degree?
— Better Maine (@MaineLogic) August 7, 2026
I can't really find any reason why anyone would feel much need to seek asylum from Zambia, except they aren't big on homosexuality. In fact, Kamala was just there in 2023. The Biden administration highlighted the place as a democratic success story at the time.
— Derek (@oldtirediron) August 7, 2026
Seems like a question Kapisha should be answering.
Ask if she has returned to her homeland that she is seeking asylum from.
— Lola M (@LolaMMaine) August 7, 2026
Historically there hasn't been political or religious persecution in Zambia. Immigration judges know this. Its absurd to claim asylum from a place where they don't persecute.
— Bob Vog (@BobVog1) August 7, 2026
It seems very odd.
Claiming asylum is the first thing the NGOs coach folks to do. Backs up the court system and gets them a sympathy card wherever they go.

Stay tuned.
