Ron DeSantis Is Not a Boomer: FL Gov Drops Common Sense on Worthless Degrees — And Refuses Boomer Label

If you want someone to tell you about the realities of American life today, Governor Ron DeSantis is a pretty great source. Recently, he made a comment about the return on investment of some college majors.

Was it necessary to do a study to figure out that advanced degrees in social work and psychology have zero or negative ROI? pic.twitter.com/9Ocv3gDWgM

It's actually just common sense, but that isn't so common these days.

I hate all of the Boomer politicians mocking the negative ROI of college degrees. Hey bro you are supposed to be in charge of the system, this is your responsibility. Don't mock the 17 year old kids who believed in the adult authority figures scamming them. https://t.co/6AzNrrv6IR

There is, however, always a dissenter. Even the most nuanced take will find some someone who wants to argue.

I’m not a Boomer. Not even close.

One thing DeSantis will not accept is Boomer slander. He's Gen X and don't you forget it. Gen X'ers are proud to be that and won't be mislabeled.

DeSantis is a tail-end Gen Xer. Not a “Boomer,” lol.

And you shouldn’t need a politician to do basic value analysis for you before shelling out $150k for a degree. https://t.co/xgK8hNsxru

Sociology is literally the most useless profession there is. https://t.co/gSeQkMVGAG

It's not 'Boomerism'. It's reality.

For so many ignorant people, "Boomer" = "I disagree with you."
Same as "bot" has meant so many times. https://t.co/5WsFlm0QfX

It's the retort of the person with no cogent argument, honestly.

Born 1978?
Those are Gen X (Baby Bust), or born from, 1965 to 1980 ... pic.twitter.com/F0vLcTIbqV

I think Boomer just means “You’re older than me and telling me things I don’t want to hear.”

Sometimes the truth hurts.

They always forget about Gen X, but that’s ok, we’re used to it. Meanwhile, we’ll continue to take over the reins of power.

Finally! It's time for actual Boomers to retire.
