If the Left wanted the ICE raids in Minnesota to end tomorrow, there is a very simple way that could happen. Their police and sheriff could cooperate with ICE and turn over illegals. They could go with ICE to arrest those who are in the country with deportation orders. It would end all of the early morning raids and marching extraneous people out to SUVs and all the extra noise. They won't do that so that is why these games continue.

Sure thing, Bill. Well, it goes like this. This is the UNITED States of America. That means we are a whole bunch of states each with their own laws, BUT, there are some issues handled at the federal level. One of those responsibilities is immigration.
Why you might ask? Once a person is in the United States, legally or illegally, it's pretty easy for them to travel state to state. We don't have state line checks and we don't require passports to travel around the United States. So, in order to protect ALL the states, we follow one set of immigration laws.
Minnesota decided they don't want to follow those laws and illegals could go there to hide from ICE. ICE and the Trump Administration asked Minnesota to stop that. They refused so ICE has to come get illegals themselves. Certain states can't decide to follow or not follow federal law at their will. One of those illegals Minnesota is harboring could decide to get in their car and drive to Florida and kill my whole family and people in Florida don't like that prospect. Sorry.

Oh yes! My boss makes another good point. Blue states import and protect illegals because they can be counted in the Census towards how many Representative a state will get in the House. That gives them more power. That's not fair.

He doesn't want an answer. It's easier to rant about Trump and pretend he's a dictator and Americans are oppressed. What is ACTUAL oppression is allowing illegals to drive down wages, force insurers to charge all Americans more money because they drive without licenses and insurance and gobble up the healthcare, education and police resources while paying no taxes. A country must have borders and laws. No matter how much Leftists hate it, that is reality. Deal with it.
