Hasan Rowhani has been declared the winner of the Iranian presidential election, according to Iran’s interior minister. Or maybe it was Hassan Rouhani. Western media and Twitter election-watchers can’t quite come to an agreement on that.

It's now official: #Iran has a new president, Rohani, Rouhani, Rowhani. Will be watching to see what he does and says – esp internationally.

Mr Rouhani, spells his name: R-o-u-h-a-n-i on his Twitter account. RT @JeffreyFeldman: Is the correct spelling Rowhani or Rohani?
