Many outraged by PSY's (nonexistent) 'Gangnam Style' Grammy nomination

K-pop artist PSY is still under fire today for belting out lyrics that called for the murder of U.S. soldiers and their daughters, mothers and fathers. But it’s a different offense that has some Twitter users fuming and frothing: his nomination for a Grammy Award.

Oh, the humanity! Or, um, oh, Twitter. You and your hoaxes.

PSY won’t be taking home a Grammy award because he wasn’t even nominated. Despite his viral success with the “Gangnam Style” video, PSY didn’t get a nod from the Recording Academy. (For the record, he still gets a nod from President Obama.)

Of course, PSY’s absence from the list of Grammy nominees didn’t stop this rumor from spreading out of control on Twitter. It appears especially popular with Beliebers outraged by Justin Bieber’s Grammy snub.

Bieber’s bodyguard didn’t help matters when he congratulated PSY on the nomination.
