President Obama, whose State Department apologized for Muslim hurt feelings on the anniversary of 9/11, released a statement this morning condemning both the deadly attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya and critics of Islam.
Pres Obama says US rejects denigration of any religious beliefs, but must "unequivocally oppose" senseless violence that took US lives.

While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.
Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens and Foreign Service information officer Sean Smith, were savagely murdered in the siege. The Muslim Brotherhood is calling for worldwide anti-American rage protests and the president shamefully responded as though there’s a moral equivalence between the portrayal of Islam in a film promoted by Terry Jones and the murder of four innocent Americans.
Wait, why would a government with a First Amendment "reject efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others", as Obama said?

Denigration of religious beliefs? WTH kind of leadership statement is that? Our people were murdered! Obama, lead or get out of the way.

Did you notice that Obama's statement on the attacks does not include a call for those responsible to be held accountable.

As Twitchy founder/CEO Michelle Malkin notes, criticism of Islam isn’t truly the cause of the violence — it’s a pretext.
Let’s cut through the diplomatic blather and Obama State Department’s p.c. charade. This isn’t about ordinary Egyptian Muslims being offended by Koran-burning or some genuine outcry for religious tolerance or widespread anger over how Mohammed is being portrayed. It’s about Egyptian imams and Muslim Brotherhood propagandists concocting any excuse for a violent anti-Western conflagration.
And of course, the appeasers in the Obama administration don’t give a rat’s bum about “denigration of religious beliefs” when Islam isn’t involved. Remember the booing last week when the Democrats restored language about God and Jerusalem to the party platform?
Obama says 'US rejects denigration of religious beliefs',,,, just days after the #DNC denigration of Christianity. #Libya #Egypt #hypocrite

Or how ’bout Obama’s Super PAC accepting a sweet million dollar donation from religious bigot Bill Maher?

Obama and Clinton say the US deplores efforts to denigrate religion. Really? What did they think of Bill Maher's movie?

Time and again, the Obama administration silently accepts and even promotes “denigration of religious beliefs.”
When is Obama going to show the same sensitivity to the religious beliefs of people who disagree with him about defending life of unborn?

What about the blood of innocent Coptic Christians crucified & murdered by Muslims, #Libya #Egypt, where is their apology? #Obama?

Why does Obama rebuke those who denigrate Islam, but not Christianity?

But remember bitter clingers: the United States “rejects denigration of religious beliefs.”
