Defense One is reporting that US Army scientists at Walter Reed hospital have reportedly developed a universal COVID-19 vaccine that will target all variants, including Omicron:
EXCLUSIVE: Walter Reed scientists expect to announce that they have developed a vaccine that protects people from COVID-19 and all its variants, even Omicron | @TaraCopp https://t.co/Ip8P8pElFo

They’ve been working on it for two years:
The achievement is the result of almost two years of work on the virus. The Army lab received its first DNA sequencing of the COVID-19 virus in early 2020. pic.twitter.com/1zkMTkM9s8

According to the report, the vaccine has had early success against Omicron:
Walter Reed has been working on its pan-coronavirus vaccine for almost 2 years. Its human trials success – even against #OmicronVariant – come as that variant sweeps the globe. “With Omicron, there's no way really to escape this virus. You’re not going to be able to avoid it.” https://t.co/FCqThlOXjg

Here’s how it works (in layman’s terms):
"Unlike existing vaccines, Walter Reed’s SpFN uses a soccer ball-shaped protein with 24 faces for its vaccine, which allows scientists to attach the spikes of multiple coronavirus strains on different faces of the protein."https://t.co/lRWcZnGnU7

But. . .
If people think the vaccine-hesitant will line up to get it because the U.S. military is involved, it shows they haven’t been paying ANY attention to the issue:
A vax that takes a long time to make and developed by the military.
Line up the anti vaxxers!

And we’ve been down this path before:
Y'know, I feel like I've heard vaccine dreams before. Ya fooled me once . . .
(To be clear, get vaccinated. It reduces greatly reduces instances of severe illness, hospitalization, and death. I'm just saying I'm past hoping for a miracle vaccine.) https://t.co/2R2pJOXMmi

And maybe it’s time to take a second look at the initial Pfizer/Moderna data?
maybe we should look at the Pfizer/Moderna initial data a little closer before we do this all over again? https://t.co/Z6dM5jJ2ck
