'MACLUNKEY!': Disney+ under fire for changing the Han Solo-Greedo scene in 'Star Wars: A New Hope'

It appears in Disney+’s streaming version of “Star Wars: A New Hope,” not only does Han Solo not shoot first but now new dialog spoken by Greedo has been added during the infamous scene.

World, get ready for “Maclunkey!”

In the Disney+ version of Star Wars Greedo now shouts "MACLUNKEY" before getting shot. This is now my favorite version because why the hell not? MACLUNKEY! #starwars #maclunkey pic.twitter.com/k1XmP8wAZT

And, yes, it’ real:

Wait, “Maclunkey” isn’t a joke? They really edited Star Wars AGAIN?

Here’s another version of it:

I thought this #maclunkey thing was a joke. So I guess this is the rumored new version that hadn’t been released? pic.twitter.com/34nyRlBnwg

To recap, in the original, Han shot first. Then George Lucas released a version where Gredo shot first. And now this:

Fans: Han Shot First!
George Lucas: Greedo Shot First!
Disney+: #maclunkey

A quick check of Wookiepedia shows this is a totally new word:

Surely it won't stay like this for long. #maclunkey pic.twitter.com/dX0Ne617kO

So, why did Disney do this?

Just got caught up on "Maclunkey" and WTF?
