Nick Searcy blasts Geraldo Rivera over his defense of Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar

Geraldo Rivera took to Twitter Sunday afternoon to . . . defend Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, saying “Israel is occupying Palestinian land” and “No spinning or propagandizing or mythologizing or rationalizing is going to change that ugly fact”:

Those attacking @RashidaTlaib (& @IlhanMN ) for their stance on Israel are in denial. Israel is occupying Palestinian land. No spinning or propagandizing or mythologizing or rationalizing is going to change that ugly fact.

Sigh:

Thanks for reminding me (again) why following you was painful.
Rectified.

As for his first claim:

In order for there to be "Palestinian land," there must be a precedent for Palestinians having sovereignty over the disputed land. Please show us on a map from any time in history where Palestine is/was located that grants this claim to sovereign land.https://t.co/RgZTU26s9f

And even if that was true, he still doesn’t get why we’re critical of them:

Even forgetting your historical illiteracy, that is not why people are critical of Tlaib and Omar.

We’re actually not surprised at Rivera’s tweet:

This is the same Geraldo Rivera that once compared Yasser Arafat to George Washington.https://t.co/qUPalvqa4W

And Twitchy favorite Nick Searcy calls it what it is:

Disgusting anti-Semitism supported by @GeraldoRivera https://t.co/PkbOBwyxaJ
