During Mayor Bill de Blasio got heckled — HAHAHA! during his opening statement at tonight’s debate in Detroit, Mich.:
De Blasio getting heckled in his opening statement very on brand

According to reports, they were mad at him over his lack of action over the death of Eric Garner:
De Blasio may finally have gotten the breakout moment of his presidential campaign: getting heckled repeatedly during a national televised debate by protesters calling for him to fire the NYPD officer who put a man into a fatal chokehold during his first year as mayor.

And a few moments later, it appeared that Cory Booker was getting heckled as well. . .
Cory Booker was heckled but we couldn't make out what was being said. I came on Twitter to find out but no one's fully sure. #DemDebate

. . .but what happened is that the anti-de Blasio hecklers were still going strong:
Bill de Blasio getting heckled about he should fire Daniel Pantaleo (the cop in the Eric Garner case) in… Detroit… during Cory Booker's opening statement

Corey Booker opening statement interrupted by protesters chanting "Fire Pantaleo!" It's a reference to the NYPD officer involved in the Eric Garner killing. There was similar chants during de Blasio's opening but not quite as loud.

I think the people shouting in the crowd are saying "fire Pantaleo," ie the cop who got off in the Eric Garner case.
