Rep. Eric Swalwell had a strange exchange with the Washington Post’s Seung Min Kim on Wednesday night after she tweeted this pretty innocuous update on her airline travel:
If you were assigned the middle seat but no one is in the aisle or window seats, can you just sprawl across all three during your flight? ?

Swalwell, using his official House Twitter account, asked her “I want to understand why you were ‘assigned?'”:
I want to understand why you were “assigned?”

One, why is a presidential candidate using his official House account for this? And two, is he unaware how air travel operates?
She didn’t select a seat I think ?

Swalwell later joked, we hope, that “there outta be a law…”:
But why if there’s no one next to you would they assign you a middle seat. There outta be a law…

Hey, when you’re polling at 0%, maybe this is just the issue he needs to rocket up to 1%!
Will this be part of your presidential platform?
